Terms of Service

These terms explain the basis on which you may use the Pedex website and engage our educational consultancy services.

Effective 24 October 2026

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern access to and use of the Pedex website and services offered by Pedex Educational Consult. By using the website, submitting an enquiry, booking a consultation, enrolling in a course or purchasing a service, you agree to the applicable Terms. A separate signed proposal, package description or client agreement may add service-specific terms.

1. About Pedex and our services

Pedex provides education consultancy and related support. Depending on the package or written agreement, services may include:

  • International university and programme research, admissions guidance and application planning.
  • Scholarship and funding opportunity research and application guidance.
  • CV/resume, statement of purpose, personal statement, research proposal and other document guidance or editing, as specified in the package.
  • Application timeline, portal and document organisation support.
  • Interview preparation and general visa-process preparation or document-readiness guidance.
  • IELTS and other test-preparation instruction, practice, feedback and mentoring.
  • Consultations, mentoring and pre-departure information where expressly included.

Exact scope depends on the package, written proposal or signed client agreement. Not every service is included in every package. If marketing copy and a signed service agreement differ, the signed agreement and any later written variation govern the engagement to the extent permitted by law.

2. No guarantee of admission, scholarship, visa or test result

Pedex provides guidance, preparation and administrative support. We do not control decisions made by universities, scholarship providers, employers, examination bodies, credential evaluators, embassies, consulates or government authorities.

Pedex does not guarantee admission, a scholarship or grant, a particular funding amount, a visa or immigration outcome, a test score, an offer from a professor, employment or any other third-party decision. Testimonials, success stories or funding figures illustrate past outcomes and do not promise that another client will achieve the same result.

Eligibility requirements, application windows, funding availability, fees, processing times and policies can change. We will use reasonable care but cannot guarantee that every external source remains current or that a third party will act within a particular timeframe.

3. Enquiries, consultations and acceptance

Submitting an enquiry does not itself create a client relationship or guarantee acceptance into a package. Pedex may ask for information needed to assess whether it can assist. An engagement begins when Pedex confirms acceptance, the applicable scope and fees, and any required agreement or payment.

A consultation described as “free” is free only if that description appears in the relevant offer and no fee is disclosed before booking. Paid consultations, if offered, will be identified with their price and cancellation terms before you commit.

4. Packages, scope and deliverables

Packages and fees may be listed on the website and may change for new customers. Existing clients are governed by the price and scope confirmed at purchase unless the parties agree otherwise in writing.

A package may limit the number of schools, programmes, applications, document revisions, consultations, tutoring sessions or hours included. Limits, deadlines, deliverables and exclusions should be stated on the package page, proposal or signed agreement. Work outside the agreed scope may require a separate quote and your approval before additional charges are incurred.

Unless expressly included in writing, Pedex’s fee does not include university application fees, examination fees, credential evaluations, translations, notarisation, courier charges, visa or government fees, travel, tuition, deposits, accommodation, insurance or other third-party charges. We will identify known third-party costs where reasonably practicable, but those charges are set by the provider and may change.

5. Client responsibilities

You agree to:

  • Provide complete, accurate, current and truthful information and documents.
  • Review application forms, essays, statements, CVs, research proposals and other materials before submission and approve the final version.
  • Make final decisions about schools, programmes, funding opportunities and applications, and ensure submissions reflect your own background and intentions.
  • Provide documents and instructions early enough to meet deadlines. Pedex is not responsible for missed deadlines caused by late, incomplete or inaccurate information, third-party system failures or circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
  • Keep contact details current and protect your email and application account credentials.
  • Pay agreed fees and third-party charges when due.
  • Attend scheduled consultations/classes on time and comply with reasonable learning, communication and conduct requirements.
  • Use services lawfully and not request fraudulent documents, fabricated achievements, false statements, plagiarism, impersonation or misrepresentation.

Pedex may pause work while waiting for necessary information, approvals or payments. Where delay affects a deadline, we will make reasonable efforts to explain the risk. We may refuse or stop work involving suspected fraud, unlawful activity, abusive conduct or material breach.

6. Application submissions and account access

Unless a written agreement clearly states otherwise, the client remains the owner and controller of personal application accounts and must retain access. Use secure access methods and avoid sharing passwords in ordinary email or messaging. If temporary access is necessary, agree a secure method and change credentials when work is complete.

Pedex will not submit an application, accept an offer, make a binding choice or incur a charge in your name without authority required by the agreed scope. You remain responsible for reviewing and approving submissions and checking acknowledgements and messages from institutions.

7. Fees, payment and taxes

Fees will be stated in Ghana cedis (GHS) or another currency expressly agreed in writing. Payment schedule, methods, due dates, instalments and applicable taxes or charges will be communicated before purchase or recorded in the agreement or invoice.

Unless the written agreement says otherwise, work may begin after the agreed initial payment clears. Pedex may pause work on overdue invoices after reasonable notice. You are responsible for bank, transfer, currency-conversion or payment-provider fees charged to you unless stated otherwise.

Do not pay an account or mobile-money number that has not been confirmed through an official Pedex channel. Pedex will not ask you to pay a scholarship provider, university or government authority through an unofficial account.

8. Cancellation, rescheduling and refunds

Cancellation and refund terms communicated before purchase or set out in a signed proposal or client agreement form part of the engagement. Read those terms carefully before payment.

If no specific refund rule has been agreed in writing, and subject to mandatory consumer law, Pedex will assess cancellation fairly by considering work completed, time or capacity reserved, reasonable documented costs already incurred and third-party charges that are lawfully non-refundable. Pedex will not retain payment for unperformed work where a refund is required by applicable law.

If a client cancels, delays or stops responding after work begins, fees for completed work and properly incurred costs may remain payable. Refunds of prepaid fees for work not performed will be calculated under the agreed terms and applicable law.

For rescheduling consultations or classes, notify Pedex as early as possible. The relevant package or booking notice may set out notice periods, late-arrival rules, the missed-session policy and rescheduling limits.

9. IELTS and test preparation

IELTS or other test-preparation services provide instruction, practice, feedback and strategies. Pedex is not the examination authority and does not control test content, marking, test dates, test-centre decisions or official results.

Any predicted score, practice score or tutor feedback is an estimate for learning purposes, not an official result or guarantee. Students must register for official examinations through the relevant authorised provider and comply with its rules.

Students are expected to participate honestly, complete practice work themselves, respect tutors and other students, and comply with class policies. Pedex may suspend a participant for cheating, harassment, disruptive behaviour or misuse of class materials, subject to the agreement and applicable law.

11. Scholarships and funding information

Scholarships and funding may have limited budgets, eligibility conditions, changing deadlines and competitive selection. Pedex can help identify opportunities and prepare applications within the agreed scope but cannot guarantee that funding is available, that you qualify, or that an award will be made or paid.

Funding figures, tuition waivers, stipends and award values should be verified with the relevant institution or funder. Unless expressly stated in writing, Pedex is not the funder and does not pay tuition or guarantee payment of an award.

12. Intellectual property

The website, branding, original written content, graphics, course materials, templates, training resources and other content created by Pedex are owned by Pedex or used with permission, unless stated otherwise. You may use materials supplied to you for personal educational or application purposes under the licence granted with the service.

You must not copy, resell, publish, distribute, modify or commercially exploit Pedex materials without prior written permission, except where permitted by law. You retain rights in your original personal information and materials. You grant Pedex a limited right to use those materials only as necessary to provide the agreed service and maintain lawful business records.

Where Pedex edits or helps draft an application document, you remain responsible for ensuring the final document is truthful, represents your experience and complies with institutional rules. Drafting support does not authorise plagiarism, fabrication or misrepresentation.

13. Testimonials, reviews and publicity

Pedex may display testimonials, reviews or success stories only with appropriate permission and in accordance with applicable law. A client is not required to provide a testimonial to receive service. Permission to use a name, photograph, institution, result or story for marketing should be separate, informed and voluntary. Contact Pedex to ask about withdrawing a testimonial for future use, subject to practical and legal limits.

14. Website use and prohibited conduct

You may use the website for lawful, personal and legitimate enquiries. You must not:

  • Use the website to violate law or another person’s rights.
  • Submit false identities, forged documents, malicious code or misleading information.
  • Attempt unauthorised access to the website, accounts, databases or systems, or interfere with security or availability.
  • Scrape, harvest or collect personal information from the website without authorisation.
  • Copy or exploit website content or branding beyond permitted use.
  • Use the website to harass, threaten, defame, discriminate against or harm others.

We may suspend access, remove content or take reasonable steps to protect the website and users where we believe these Terms have been breached, subject to applicable law.

16. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The website and general information are provided for informational purposes and may not always reflect the latest requirements of every institution or authority. To the extent permitted by law, Pedex disclaims implied warranties that cannot lawfully be excluded, but nothing in these Terms excludes any guarantee, right or remedy that consumer law makes mandatory.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, Pedex will not be liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of opportunity, anticipated funding or profits, or decisions made by universities, scholarship bodies, testing organisations or government authorities, where those losses arise outside Pedex’s reasonable control.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability for fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, wilful misconduct, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. Any financial cap must be expressly agreed in the client contract, be reasonable in context and comply with applicable law.

17. Indemnity

To the extent permitted by law, you are responsible for losses or claims caused by your deliberate provision of forged or unlawful documents, infringement of third-party rights, or material misuse of the website. This clause does not require you to indemnify Pedex for losses caused by Pedex’s negligence, breach of contract, unlawful conduct or liability that cannot legally be shifted to you.

18. Suspension and termination

Either party may end a service engagement in accordance with the written agreement and applicable law. Pedex may suspend or terminate services for material non-payment, fraud, unlawful requests, abusive conduct, serious misuse of systems or another material breach, after reasonable notice where appropriate and legally required.

When an engagement ends, the parties remain responsible for accrued payment obligations, agreed cancellation/refund terms, confidentiality, intellectual property, data protection and clauses that by their nature should continue. Pedex will handle client data under the Privacy Policy and applicable retention obligations.

19. Changes to services and Terms

We may update the website, service descriptions and these Terms from time to time. The published version applies to future website use from its stated effective date. A material change to an existing paid engagement will not override a signed agreement unless the parties agree or applicable law permits it.

We will correct errors in published information when identified. Package availability, pricing and features may change for new purchases; changes will not retrospectively alter a confirmed purchase unless agreed or legally required.

20. Privacy

Our collection and use of personal information is described in the Privacy Policy, which forms part of the website’s policy framework. By using the website, you acknowledge that you have been given access to that Policy. This acknowledgement does not replace any consent that must be obtained separately under applicable law.

21. Force majeure

Neither party will be responsible for delay caused by events beyond reasonable control, such as severe network or power outages, natural disasters, public emergency, war, civil unrest, government action, labour disruption or major third-party platform failure. The affected party should notify the other as soon as reasonably practicable and reduce the impact where possible. This clause does not excuse payment for services already performed or remove mandatory legal rights.

22. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are intended to be governed by the laws of the Republic of Ghana, subject to mandatory consumer-protection or other laws that apply to you and cannot lawfully be excluded. The parties should first try to resolve a dispute through good-faith written communication. If unresolved, either party may pursue remedies through a competent court or other legally available forum in Ghana, subject to mandatory jurisdiction rights that may apply in the customer’s country.

23. Severability and no waiver

If a provision is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply to the extent permitted by law. A failure or delay in enforcing a provision is not a waiver of the right to enforce it later.

24. Entire agreement and order of precedence

These Terms, the Privacy Policy and any service-specific written proposal or signed agreement form the relevant agreement between you and Pedex. A signed service agreement or proposal controls package-specific scope, fees, deliverables, dates and cancellation terms where it expressly addresses them. Nothing in these Terms removes statutory rights.
