Role Overview

Are you a high-achieving scholar with a proven track record of academic excellence and standardized test success?

We are seeking a dynamic, knowledgeable, and student-focused GRE Tutor (Remote) to join our academic prep team. In this role, you will lead virtual coaching sessions, break down complex quantitative and verbal reasoning concepts, and provide personalized strategies to help students master the GRE and hit their target percentiles for graduate school admissions.

Key Responsibilities

• Virtual Instruction: Deliver engaging, structured 1-on-1 and small-group virtual GRE preparation classes covering Quantitative Reasoning, Verbal Reasoning, and Analytical Writing.
• Personalized Strategy Coaching: Assess students' baseline diagnostic scores, identify individual knowledge gaps, and design customized study plans tailored to their target program requirements.
• Content Delivery & Skill Building: Teach high-yield problem-solving shortcuts, vocabulary-building frameworks, and critical reading strategies.
• Practice Assessment & Feedback: Review practice test results, provide detailed essay critiques for the Analytical Writing section, and offer actionable feedback for continuous improvement.
• Student Mentorship: Motivate, guide, and track student progress over their preparation timeline, ensuring they build the confidence needed for test day.
• Resource Support: Assist in developing and updating practice questions, study guides, and test-taking tip sheets.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree (or advanced degree/current graduate student) with an exceptional academic record.
• Demonstrated high score on the GRE (or equivalent rigorous standardized exam).
• Prior experience in tutoring, teaching, or academic mentoring—specifically with standardized test preparation (GRE, GMAT, SAT).
• Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to explain complex mathematical and verbal concepts in a clear, accessible manner.
• Tech-savvy with proficiency in virtual teaching tools (Zoom, Google Meet, interactive whiteboards, and Google Workspace).
• Patient, organized, and deeply committed to student success.
